“WELCOME TO THE MOULINS DE BRASSEUIL”

A Little Story...

For countless years the « Vaucouleurs » has kept the wheel mill in motion before flowing into the Seine at Mantes la Jolie. The Brasseuil Mill, where wheat, rye and spelt wheat have been crushed for several centuries, mirrors its wheel in the river's pristine waters. From one generation of millers to the next, the Brasseuil Mills have prospered within their local setting

OUR HERITAGE : A TRADITIONAL METHOD

The Millestone, the traditional know-how quality

Moulins de Brasseuil - Cours

The strength of Moulins de Brasseuil lies within its history and its global approach of the trade : millstones have played a major role in its activity for several centuries.
Nowadays, millstones are still in existence: our Stone-ground Flour boasts exceptional nutritional and organoloeptic qualities which it derives from 10 SUCCESSIVE GRINDINGS. This constantly-evolving process requires genuine skill. The traditional slow-grinding process has the advantage of preserving the wheat germ, which does not burst but is finely crushed. As a result of this distinctive grinding process, our flour is brown as it contains bran, and has well-known nutritional qualities:

♦ More fiber
♦ More minerals
♦ More essential fatty acids

ORGANIC KNOW-HOW

Since 1972 to the date, we have focused exclusively
on stone-ground flour and organic flour production

Back in the early days we were seen as daring entrepreneurs with a passion for bread making a bold bet on the future.
Today "Le Meunier Nature" strives to meet the expectations of many bakers and their customers.
- 1972 : the first truck with its load of organic wheat drives through the gates of Moulins de Brasseuil.
- 1994 : Qualité France grants Moulins de Brasseuil its first Organic certification.
For the past 40 years, the organic industry has been at the core of our company's activity.

THANKS TO THE EXPERIENCE AND KNOW-HOW WE HAVE GATHERED OVER THE YEARS WE UNDERSTAND THE TWO KEY ASPECTS OF ORGANIC FLOUR PRODUCTION: THE ABILITY TO CONTROL QUALITY AND THE PROXIMITY OF WHEAT SUPPLIERS.
